Smart Street Lighting Workshop
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

The Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) will host a free Smart Street Lighting workshop on August 15, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. at 2100 West Harrison St. in Chicago, for Illinois municipalities and governmental entities.  If you're contemplating an upgrade from old style street lights to smart LED based street lights this workshop is for you.

After upgrading to LED street lights, municipalities typically see cost savings of greater than 50%, due to the decreased energy usage of LED street lights versus old style lights (high pressure sodium, mercury vapor, metal halide). Networked street lights, with each light connected via a data communications path, allows central control and enables "Smart" applications to be incorporated.

The workshop will provide information about the Smart Street Lighting state master contracts.  State master contract vendors, Johnson Controls, Globetrotters Engineering and TEN Connected Solutions will present and there will be information on available incentives from ComEd and Ameren.
